This lesson addresses one of the most important musical tools for guitar players: The boogie-woogie. Boogie-woogie emerged during the early 20th century as a piano based blues characterized by rolling, powerful basslines and a dance worthy rhythm. It has since become one of the most valuable tools a guitarist can keep in their shed. I will take you from entry level beginner to very advanced and you will learn how to build on the basic 5, 6, b7 formula in a variety of ways. We will cover picking, articulation, dampening, rhythmic feels, accents, right hand options and harp style licks. You will also learn the fingerboard with scale degrees thus freeing you up to play in any key.
